Special Cartoon for: September 20th 2001 C.E.

In Japan, Manga is often published in terribly thick magazines, that resemble thick telephone books. The quality of the paper is very low, because the whole volume is designed to be recycled. The pages are in colors, which alternate for the different serials running in a given volume. The printed images are the same color as the paper, just a darker shade. The strip above captures the look of such typically crude, everyday manga printing, as would be found in, say, "Ribon Mascot Comics".
