He was safe. Safe as houses.

The third pig snickered in his glee.

What cared he for the woes of the world? He had bricked himself in. Nothing went in and nothing went out, but the little piggy had complete control of its passage. His whole world consisted of what lay within those four impenetrable walls and not a jot more.

Oh, he had allowed his brothers, the first little pig and the second little pig, entry into his domain. They served to demonstrate the might and power of his kingdom. However, the starving wolf was left outside to blow and blow.

"Blow, blow, thou winter wind,
Thou art not so unkind
As man's ingratitude."
