Meeting convened on 17th May.Those present at this meeting were Andrew, Campbell, Nicole and Katherine. The Dastardly Details for Geek Day Out were discussed.

  • Date and Time for the Geek Day Out tentatively finalized: 8th July, 4:30pm - 2:30am. Venue at Scienceworks approved.

  • Booking is to be made with a deposit. 200 people would be optimum.
    
    
    
  • Perhaps cancel if less than 100 people interested.
  • 
    
    
  • A smaller venue may be required as a back-up. Nicole was to look into the Collingwood Town Hall as a possible venue.

  • Costings for the party must be made.

  • The important matter of the style of t-shirt was brought up. The desperate need for chicken logo shirts being the final consensus.

  • A list of geek food requirements for the party was discussed in full. The meeting decided on a list which includes: pizza, coffee, coke, Mars Bars, chippies, sandwiches, cake.

  • Musical categories were also decided. Mp3/CD-ROMs of Retro, Dance, Wacky, Heavy, Goth and World Music should all be played during the party. Perhaps get Maynard to DJ.

  • Advertising places at computer swapmeets, Multiverse and LUV. Slashdot advertising.

  • Enquiries should be made on site about vacationing celebs.
