Geek Nite Out 2000

Robot Demos with James Brusey

"I'm a PhD candidate at RMIT University in the department of Computer Science. The title of my thesis is Predictive Behaviours for Robot Soccer. I'm in my third year of study. Prior to starting my PhD, I spent about 12 years as a Mainframe Systems Programmer, specialising in writing OS/390 assembler. I now support my studies by working one day a week. I have been a participant in the last three international RoboCup competitions (Paris '98, Stockholm '99 and Melbourne 2000)."

James will be talking about his contribution to the Australian Robocup team and robotics in general.
