The real trick to life

Someone pointed out that it would have made a lot more sense, visually, if the kids had been walking left to right in this strip, rather than right to left. Which I guess is true.

I just think the way I drew walking improved greatly over the years. Though it's probably not the most interesting thing for them to have been doing in this strip. Calvin and Hobbes would have been rocketing down the hill in their wagon while they had a conversation like this. Would that I could think of some similar gag for spicing up talkier strips. Then again, the idea that Ozy and Millie go for walks through the woods and talk about life strikes me as kind of charming.

If memory serves, I wrote and penciled this one on an airplane.
