This actually is a redrawn version of a strip I had done months earlier, in 1997. It's not a strip one could draw now.

For one thing, that URL actually exists now, and has for years. For another, now it would seem like an old joke. It'd be like carping about the ubiquitousness of the telephone. I actually kind of hate having to answer the phone, but that argument was lost before I was born.

Now it's the view from the other side of the bubble.
