comic strip

The Attic

I've hinted all along that Llewellyn has a complex history, almost Forrest Gump-like in the number of famous paths it's crossed--the major difference being that Llewellyn probably knew exactly how he was changing history.

And, of course, as a dragon, he surely has an enormous hoard in his attic. (The ceiling beams are probably reinforced.)

When I put these two facts together, it was obvious Llewellyn would have heaps of both gold and historical curiosities in his attic.

Looking at this strip now, I think I had the right idea, design-wise, but didn't take it far enough. I made the second panel longer than the third, but I ought to have eliminated the third altogether, and given its space to the second. The reaction shot doesn't do nearly as much for the gag as drawing a larger hoard would have.
