Tolerance is an important first step toward getting beyond living in a world filled with people, to a world filled with friends and family. What can you do today to practice tolerance? Maybe you can try lunch at a restaurant featuring some type of foreign food. Perhaps you can read a book where the leading character is physically disabled. Write a letter to a newspaper about something you care about. And maybe you could even make friends with someone unexpected, and learn what an interesting and good person they are.
