I like the end-note of the article where the creator, Rutherford, says:

"We recreated a 1st century BC computer out of the best toy humankind has
ever invented,"

The video is worth watching. Quite lovely use of stop-motion to demonstrate
how the device works.

HOLY GUACAMOLE! That's AWESOME!

We so frequently under-rate the intelligence of our ancestors. At some point
they were no less intelligent than ourselves, they just didn't have the weight
of previous thought to help guide their own.

Mind you. I still don't think mathematics was necessarily used to create
Stonehenge. Given it took hundreds of years to create, all you would need is
someone to be ready around a solstice or equinox, then say "put a rock there".
Easy.
