"Sting operations — in which an undercover agent or informant provides the
means and opportunity to lure otherwise incapable people into committing a
crime — have represented the default tactic for counterterrorism prosecutions
since the 9/11 attacks."

Terrorists must be manufactured to justify the war on terror - or more
specifically, the enormously enhanced law enforcement budgets.  This is not
only a human rights violation but also encourages continued irrational fear
which escalates the potential for violence rather than reducing it.  Kudos to
the Canadian court for standing up for justice.
