'A matter of life and death' - Sue Gardner on public broadcasting

"Journalism has taken a beating over the last few years. Its reputation,
its funding models, even its relevance."

This absolutely applies to Australia also. We need to protect and
enhance our ABC, not continue cutting funding further and further on the
neoliberal principle that it competes with commercial broadcasters.
