"Talk of citizens’ assemblies is in the air. A Conservative leadership
contender, Rory Stewart, has suggested holding one to break through the
Brexit impasse. And on Monday, the Scottish Government released their
plans for a citizens’ assembly to discuss Scotland’s democratic future.

But what are they? A citizens’ assembly is made up of a representative
group of around 50 to 200 citizens, chosen at random from the general
public, like a jury."

Via Muse, who wrote: "American and Australian friends: this is what a
citizen’s assembly looks like!"
