'Actor Natalie Venettacci is at home on stage but she knows what it is like to
feel uncomfortable behind the scenes.

Ms Venettacci has acted around the country over the past 18 years and said she
has had a number of negative experiences in the theatre industry.

"The sexual harassment never happened during the shows, but it happened during
the season outside of that rehearsal or showtime," she said.

"You're still acting with that person every single night and they have to touch
you, or kiss you, or you've got to show that you love them or have feelings for
them.

"That was really hard for me as an actor and I didn't feel like I had support."

Her experiences have motivated Ms Venettacci to focus on creating theatre
workspaces with a safe and supportive culture.'
