"In 2016 and again in 2024, Donald Trump ran against two supremely qualified
presidential candidates, who both lost. Both had decades of service to
government and high-ranking jobs within Democratic administrations. Both were
women.
Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris’ losses have prompted a thousand think pieces
on whether or not the United States is ready to elect a female president. The
old adage, dating back to the Cold War, is that women are too emotional to be
trusted with the nuclear button.
But the men in the current White House might be the most emotional leadership
group the US has ever had. And while their outbursts often seem spontaneous and
even silly, we should take them seriously."
