Tomorrow Andrew and I will be making the final settlement on our new home.
We've stayed on top of things as far as getting the financing sorted, doing
the conveyancing, making inspections, etc. So, we are not in a panic, but we
are still a little stressed until the whole thing is completed. We almost
purchased our own fishtank complete with fish with the new place. The current

I remember hearing Mt. St. Helens going off in 1980. I remember some of the
ash falling on our house, and the relatives from Ellensburg who came to stay
with us as refugees, since the ash coming down on their homes was so thick
they couldn't breathe. I also remember how much fun it was taking a class in
geophysics at the University of Washington while this was still happening and

It is greatly to America's advantage that it is a congenial atmosphere
for the right sort of unruliness-- that it is a home not just for the
smart, but for smart-alecks. And hackers are invariably smart-alecks. If
we had a national holiday, it would be April 1st. It says a great deal
